Thousands of floating dead fish blanket Greek port

The port of Volos in central Greece has been blanketed by dead fish after they were displaced from lakes and rivers during intense flooding last year.

Thousands of silver bodies covered the port, creating a stench that has alarmed residents and authorities.

Massive floods in the Thessaly region of Greece last year are thought to have displaced the fish, pushing them down into the sea and eventually to Volos.
