US President Joe Biden wore a red “Trump 2024” hat during a visit to Shanksville Fire Station in Pennsylvania, on the anniversary of the 11 September 2001 attacks.
In a video, the president can be seen talking to people attending the event, who ask him to put on the hat.
He jokes with the crowd as he briefly wears it over his own hat.
White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates said the president “briefly wore” the cap as a gesture of “bipartisan unity”.
