Major Web3 gaming platform Immutable has announced a strategic integration with enterprise platform Fireblocks.

According to the press release shared with Cryptonews, the partnership aims to reshape treasury management for games, builders, decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, and ecosystem partners on Immutable zkEVM, powered by Polygon.

Therefore, game developers can now utilize the Fireblocks platform to store and manage digital assets associated with game economies, non-fungible token (NFT) projects, and DeFi protocols.

This will improve the developers’ oversight of holdings on Immutable’s zkEVM chain.

Immutable announced its zkEVM Mainnet early access in late January this year.

Robbie Ferguson, Co-Founder and President of Immutable, noted that this latest integration provides “a robust and secure choice” to more than 320 game developers and 80 ecosystem partners signed to Immutable.

Immutable zkEVM is now available across the world via the Fireblocks platform and the Fireblocks Network.

Hence, users gain “direct connectivity to thousands of institutional counterparties.” This includes liquidity providers, lending desks, banks, and market makers, the teams said.

Omer Amsel, Head of Web3 at Fireblocks, argued that the integration “unlocks a new era of scalability, security, and efficiency” for self-custodial digital asset management within the Immutable ecosystem.

According to Immutable’s Ferguson, Fireblocks’ infrastructure can support game developers to manage the digital assets involved in gaming and NFT transactions.

Furthermore, they can scale with “the exponential growth of transactions” on Immutable’s platform.

Overall, said Ferguson, Fireblocks’ infrastructure ensures “smooth operations within the Web3 gaming and DeFi landscape.”

Besides scalability, the integration improves security, he remarked.

Fireblocks’ security solutions “will safeguard Immutable’s digital assets, fostering trust and confidence among users and partners,” said the President.

Meanwhile, Immutable has formed a number of strategic alliances. One of the latest is the partnership with the GRAM Ecosystem.

The GRAM Ecosystem’s flagship game ‘Norma in Metaland’ will be included on Immutable’s zkEVM. The next flagship game, tentatively titled ‘My Merge Chef’ and currently in development, will join the chain “since its birth.”

Fireblocks has also been penning partnerships, with one of its latest being with Station70.
