On August 8, blockchain-based game developer Illuvium announced a strategic partnership with Samsung. The collaboration, set to debut at the upcoming Gamescom 2024 event, will see Illuvium featured at the Samsung booth to showcase the future of next-generation gaming.
Bringing Illuvium to Samsung’s Web3 TVs
According to an exclusive press release, the partnership signifies a major step forward in the convergence of digital art, gaming, and home entertainment.
This collaboration makes Illuvium accessible to a global audience through Samsung’s innovative Web3TVs, enabling players to showcase their Illuvials, weapons, and suits in greater detail.
“By featuring Illuvium on Samsung’s cutting-edge Web3 TVs, users will have the opportunity to experience the game’s assets in unparalleled detail, transforming the home TV into an immersive art display,” Kieran Warwick, the CEO and co-founder explained.
At Gamescom, attendees can demo all three of Illuvium’s interconnected games, Overworld, Arena, and Zero, at the Samsung booth.
This will provide an opportunity for players to explore the breathtaking innovation of Illuvium, which showcases their tactical skills in PvP matches and build cities through collaborative and competitive interactions.
Additionally, attendees will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including 10 GEN3RATOR NFTs – Samsung’s latest innovative digital tool that unlocks exclusive features on the company’s Web3 Roadmap.
This recent partnership is one of the series of strategic collaborations that Illuvium has had concerning Web3 gaming.
In December 2023, the game developer partnered with Global Esports Powerhouse Team Liquid to explore and test Illuvium’s new auto battler game Illuvium: Arena‘s competitive modes.
The GEN3RATOR Campaign and Similar Illuvium Collaboration in the Web3 Gaming Sector
The partnership between Illuvium and Samsung also includes the GEN3RATOR campaign, a cornerstone initiative designed to merge the two communities and significantly increase its exposure.
The campaign aims to potentially reach hundreds of millions of Samsung customers through extensive marketing channels, marketplaces like OpenSea, and various PR outlets
Samsung has selected key Web3 partners for the TX1 campaign, with the game developer being one of only two gaming partners.
“The GEN3RATOR campaign is a testament to the power of this collaboration,” Warwick said. “By combining the Samsung and Illuvium communities, we’re poised to expand our reach and impact in unprecedented ways.”
In a similar event, Illuvium recently announced a partnership with Illuvidata, a leading provider of advanced data and analytics tools for the ecosystem.
The partnership, which was first unveiled on April 29, aims to deliver a host of benefits for its growing community of players, particularly to enhance their overall gaming experience and unlock new avenues for growth and exploration within the ecosystem.
A recent AMA video hosted by Illuvidata’s Excelsor, which featured notable figures like Warwick, co-founder of Illuvidata, pro players, and content creator Viper, highlights the growing influence of Illuvium in the web3 gaming space.
