The largest Bitcoin conference in the Gulf region, which kicked off on Monday, will feature President-elect Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, delivering the keynote speech.

A Reuters report noted that Eric Trump will deliver his keynote address on Tuesday.

The Bitcoin MENA conference on December 9-10 2024, is projected to draw more than 6,000 people, featuring a whale-only lounge. The event at Abu Dhabi will also see several Trump’s picks including Steve Witkoff.

Witkoff is the new White House envoy for the Middle East and also the co-founder of Trump’s crypto platform World Liberty Financial, launched in September. Donald Trump’s sons Eric, Don Jr. and Barron are the chief crypto advocate and ambassadors of his crypto project.

The conference’s other speakers, including Tron founder Justin Sun, also have close ties to World Liberty Financial. Sun, who was charged with crypto-related fraud under Biden administration, recently wrote on X that he bought $30 million worth of WLF tokens, making him the largest investor of the project.

Marshall Beard, chief operating officer of Gemini, said that the conference is focused on bringing the industry together.

“It’s been incredible to see the rise of Bitcoin alongside the growth of the conference,” Beard noted. “Crypto became a major campaign issue in this year’s presidential election.”

Trump’s family and allies at the Gulf conference come in line with Trump’s vows prior to winning his elections. He promised to become the crypto president and make America the new “crypto capital.”

Eric Trump’s presence signals a significant milestone for Bitcoin MENA 2024, bringing a wealth of business acumen to the region. According to the official release, his involvement would draw considerable attention from industry leaders.
